Multiple Shipping Points

Why we create multiple Shipping Points for a Single plants?

Ex. If I create Shipping Points as Manual, Automatic and Immediate for a plant, What is the need of these three Shipping points??

I can manage all the shipping process through one or two shipping Points.

As specified shipping points can be limited but few clients have multiple shipping points in connection with the storage Locations

Hi Parag,

Shipping point is the place from where actually you ship your goods. Let me try to explain this by practical scenario.

Your client is having business of Oil. Client is selling below both products which gets manufactured in same plant(name P001).

• Finish Goods - Material are packed(Different Packing)
• Loose Oil - Delivered in bulk(Tanker)

Now in this kind of scenario you should create two different shipping point and it should be assigned to same plant.
