Hi
While outputting the report using ' Report from template" functionality, the asian languages e.g chines are displayed properly. where as when outputting the same through CG50 after releasing, the same are displayed with ######.
The latest wwi version is 3.2/2.7b SP37. It seems that latest notes are covered with this version. Not sure what the reason could be.
Request your tips on the same to resolve this
Thanks
Ashish
Dear all thanks for your suggestions
The issue was resolved but could not update the thread in time- Apologize
It was due to the selection of Unicode radio button that was missing in RFC configuration of WWI. It was identified during comparison of two system having the same data but different results.

Hello Ashish,
This kind of issue can also be related to configuring WWI as Unicode.
You may also read and follow the recommendations provided by Note 733416:
733416 - EH&S WWI and Unicode

Dear Ashish
kind of hint: we have now SP41 in place ! So you have 4 SPs difference. A lot of corrections done for "asia" or "complex characters"
As explained by Pavan and Mark: The Winword installation and WWI installation should be on any client or server the same (some slight "add" on topic on server; but especially topic of language is impotant)

Hi Ashish,
As rightly pointed out by Mark, you need to ensure that the concerned languages are activated for MS Word on Generation server. Please ask your system administrator to follow the steps mentioned in the SAP note "939928 - EH&S WWI: Processing of Asian characters and complex characters" to resolve this.

Pavan

Hello Ashish,
You need to ensure that one the WWI Server(s) all needed languages are installed for MS Word.
The fact, that the generation it is working on your local PC (report from template), but not when viewing them via CGG50 (Report body was generated on the WWI Server) points for me into that direction.
Hope this helps
Mark
