In cost estimate with quantity structure the unit getting picked is from BOM and not Base unit

While doing cost estimate with quantity structure the unit getting picked for component is the UOM maintained in BOM and not the base UOM .what can be the reason for this behavior?

In the PCM Bill of Material (BOM) model the default UOM (unit of measure) is determined in an item property. If you want the default UOM to be base UOM you need to edit the item property expression in cost object 1 with property editor, edit the Default Unit of Measure expression.

Default Unit of Measure = EPOCodeFromName("<Base UOM>")
