System Copy (Export/Import) DB/OS Migration

Hi guys,

This weekend i'm going to do a SC through export/import method in order to created a Sandbox system for Upgrade purposes.

Source system is Windows 2008 R2 with DB2 9.5.7, target system will be Windows 2012 R2 with DB2 10.5.

I know that through DB2 Backup/Restore method you can only "jump" two DB versions, does this restriction also apply to export/import method?

Hi Martim,

the R3load export does not contain DB version dependent information. You can jump to any supported DB2 version using the R3load export/import method.
