Hello,

A simple search on Google would have sufficed for this question.

There is a lot of information out their on the performance benchmarks:

A simple search brought this back for me:

Hi Saurabh.

It´s a bit dificult to know/awnser that, from the technical side probably when you are planing to change/upgrade your hardware or doing some SAP major Upgrades.

From the bussiness side, you have to validate all the improvements from Hana, and try to match then with your current landscape.

Actually my present client is using Oracle data warehouse.

I wanted to know weather it is good idea in suggesting client that if we use SAP HANA or BW on HANA  then there would be benefit in terms of performance and compressions.

Hi.

Yes you will benefit from changing to HANA.

There are a lot of info available for that.

You can start by doing a QuickSize from the current Oracle DB.

Take a loook: Sizing for BW on HANA (SAP Notes 1736976 and 1637145)

As for performance, you have to base your approach by used cases and by SAP documentatation in the taht area, because you will only know for certain the gains for your landscape when you test it.
