Dear SAP Experts,
Greetings!!!
In the Work Order, i am assigning the material number in the components tab, item category "L" and requirement Qty "5" (Example),
when i clicked the material availability check icon in the work order screen (t-code IW31 or IW32), system has to show to availability of material.
The system does shows availability message for both Stock and Non-stock components, even though there is no stock in storage location.
My requirement is, system should show information about the material stock availability for stock item and not for non-stock in storage locations before releasing the work order.
So that, the business will plan the materials accordingly in the work order
I have maintained all the checking rules in SPRO and also in Material master.
Please suggest.

Hi Sree,
First Material should have the availability check maintained in Material master in MRP4 tab.
Above are the configuration should be done for material availability.
In OIOI transaction, below is the sample setting for checking during order creation
Similarly below is at order release.
Compare your configuration and let us know whether it works
