Common error with Costing Run

Hi experts;

     while doing Costing Run I received the following error:

No control record for Activity type ASGC/2715/S in version 000 / 2016 activity planning/qty planning

Message no. KL023

Diagnosis

No activity planning or quantity planning has been carried out for Activity type ASGC/2715/S in version 000 and fiscal year 2016.

Procedure

Activity Type Planning

for cost centers or

Planning Quantities and Prices

• for business processes.

After search I realized that it is a very common error but the issue is that:

1. There is no any defined Fixed Costs on KP26 it is only variable.

2. I found some colleagues are saying we should set the Cost Component for Fixed & Variable cost. But I cannot find the place on the OKTZ to do that?

So kindly can someone help please.

Hi Ahmad

Have you plan for this activity/CCtr for 2016 in KP26 and KP06 and followed the steps..

1. KSS4

2. KSPI

Secondly in OKTZ when you are creating attributes select Fixed & Variable option for getting both and Variable tab for variable only

Hope you are doing well and thank you very much for your kind support.

Yes, regarding the KP26 I've made the plan for the activity/CCtr.

But I did not do before the KP06 and it was working, and actually I do not know for what it is used.

In addition to the KSS$ and KSPI what are those and used for what. May you kindly give me more details about them?

And as told you that before costing running was working well without these functions.

So kindly share your ideas and help in solving such issue.

In KP26 it is showing 12/2015 but error is for 2016...so maintain price for 2016

Can it be done with retro active effect, I mean for a past period Dec. 2015?

No..you must have period/FY rate updated in KP26

Same rate of 2015 you can define in 2016 manually in KP26

I've updated the KP26 with variable cost price for CC 2715 & Activity Type S as shown in the attached print screen and yet the ERROR is existing.

Hi Ahmad

Maintain it for all the Periods in 2016 (1 to 12). You might be having COSTING DATE outside of Period 2

So do it for all periods

1. Ensure you have Activity Price maintained in KP26 - Whether Fixed or Variable or both

2. In OKTZ, double click on the Cost Component wherein you have included the Activity Type's Cost Element

Choose both Fixed and Variable cost

Amazingly everything seems to me is configured correctly.

I've variable cost on KP26 and in the OKTZ it is configured as you have shown above.

So please share with me more idea or guide me where else to check.
