Transfer balance to new GL Account

Dear All,

I  have an GL account (650045) showing balances (MYR 4656)  and client wants to this balance to another new GL account ( 650198) and In-activate the GL 650045 and see that no postings are allowed in 650045.

Can you please let me know how to do this transfer

Just use manual journal entry to adjust it.

Hi Suafil

There is no "transfer" function in SAP Business One. You will need to do a manual journal entry to move the balance, or multiple entries to move individual transactions or balances per period. You can then change the status of the old account to prevent postings. You can also use the internal reconciliation to match off the entries in the old account for viewing and reporting purposes.
