In addition to above discussion, if you use table T006B you will see the conversion of CAR to KAR for languages EN and DE.

It is CAR - Carton
Have a look at table T006A for UOM.In table MU is Internal, language-independent, measurement unit format and it is used for inter processing only.
The internal format is automatically replaced by either the external commercial (three-character) or technical (six-character) format before output to the screen
