Dear,
Tolerance defines the period within which late or early completion impacts subsequent scheduling of Plan.
Tolerance is set for late completion and (–) Tolerance for early completion.
If completion is within Tolerance period it is not considered late or early and does not impact schedule.
If completion is out-with Tolerance period it will impact schedule taking account of Shift Factor values.
Example for 30 day cycle :
Plan date Plan date Plan Date
The Shift Factor applies in event of late or early completion of Maintenance Task (Call Object).
It defines how much subsequent schedule dates will be changes as result of later or early completion.

Hi Rahul,
Tolerance along with Shift Factor decides the next planned date. If the variance between actual completion and planned date of the previous call was outside the tolerance, the next planned date will be decided based on shift factor defined.
For your case, shift factors are 0. So no effect even if Tolerance is defined.

Hi Rahul,
For 1 Month (30 days) and 10% Tolerance
So the tolerance is 3 days.
If the completion is made no more than 3 days before the planned date, then there wont be any tolerance applicable, no change of dates. In case if it is above 3 days, then system will change the days of scheduling accordingly
In your case, you need to complete the Notification 3 days beyond the actual planned date, then you will get the difference.
Regards
Terence
