Quantity in source bin will be negative

Hi Folks,

I have confirmed the WT with same quantity as of inbound delivery created in EWM.

After confirming WT I see the message  " Quantity in source bin will be negative "

I am wondering why system giving this message though I have confirmed WT with same quantity.

Hi sunil,

This is message can come, if you are confirming the putaway WT without doing the GR in the GR-ZONE.

But system allow to confirm the WT and update goods receipt in IBD , once WT confirmed.

So is there any implications of confirming WT prior to GR.

I mean will there be -ve quant at GR-Zone ?

What is the standard approach for such scenario ?

How to restrict system to do GR prior to WT confirmation.

Hi sunil,

Standard approach is first do the GR , then one Mvt 101 document can be created for the ROD storage location in ECC, then WH people can create the WT according to putaway strategy against the product and place in the bin.

Once confirm the putaway WT , one mvt 411 update from ROD location to AFS loction on ECC.

I know the process you explained above.

But in my scenario I am procuring raw material ,hence I have maintained only one storage loc and one availability group 002.

I believe it is possible !

What is your take on my approach ?

Hi CK,

My warehouse is just for raw materials .

Therefore only one storage location has been created and Avl,Grp 002 is mapped to that storage location.

Will this set up will work ?

Hi,

Don't give any source bin in warehouse process type , like GR_ZONE in 1010.then do the goods receipt and create WT for putaway.

Is there any report or transaction where we can check the stock in intermediate storage types ?

Use the monitor to check the stocks under the node 'stock and bin '.T Code : /SCWM/MON
