Billing in i.s.h. Med

Hello Experts,

I am aware about billing in SAP IS-H but when I am trying to generate bill in i.s.h. Med its not happening.

As per my understanding we can not directly assign services in i.s.h. Med, we have to go through clinical order but using clinical order I am not able to hit billing part so need your inputs to understand the process.

Many Thanks,

Alok Gaikwad

I'd be very interested in how you "generate bill in i.s.h. Med" since i.s.h.med does not contain any usual billing functions. What are you actually trying to achieve?

Hi Volker,

I understand that i.s.h. Med does not have any billing functionality but I am eager to know the process for billing of clinical order ?

I am able to generate bill through ISH using services but when it comes to clinical order, I am unable to proceed.

You don't bill clinical orders, for a number of reasons. The main issue is that one usually wants to bill the procedures and servivces that were actually performed, which, in the clinical workflow, might be very different from the ones that were ordered. For instance, the specialist performing a procedure might decide that a different procedure might be a better option for the patient, or discover something during the examination that requires immediate attention even though it was not mentioned in the order. Hence, one would usually have an additional step when the clinical order is marked as completed to select the services that were actually performed. These are normal IS-H services that can then be billed.
