Change Display Field on Herarchy Table

We need to change the display field on a hierarchy table in MDM so we can import records.  The system will not allow us to change the display field even if we add a second display field.  How can we correct this?

Hello Tammi,

The Name field is used as the primary display field, which cannot be unselected as a display field because a hierarchy or taxonomy table must have at least one fixed-width Text display field.

This is mentioned on the MDM Console Reference Guide.

Hi Tammi,

I am new to SAP MDM and trying to learn MDM by answering the threads. So bear with me if you have already tried the steps

What is your MDM version

1) In Hierarchy mode Go to any Hierarchy level in MDM Data Manager.

2) Go to View Option

3) Select Fields and Double click on any Fields which you want to display.
