BI Platform Support Tool Issue: Issue Saving Patch History to PDF

Hi,

I already placed this issue in the comments of the tool page , which was propably wrong. Now here:

On our production system (with non-administrative right) and on a local VM (with full admiistrative rights) I get an error when trying to save the Patch History Report to PDF.

Error Message:

"Report file file:/C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/SAP%20BusinessObjects/BISupport/bin/bitool64.jar!/templates/PatchHistory.rpt not found"

Access to Production system via Support Tool 2.02 on Client machine with BO Clients and Crystal Report for Enterprise.

Access on VM via Support Tool 2.02 on server itself with only BO BI Server & Client Software (no CRE)

Please find attached error screen.

Hi Thilo,


Thanks for reporting the problem.  This is a known issue.  We are currently re-writing the export functionality right now and hope to release this soon.  We will likely disable the PDF export until this is ready since it is out of sync with the current functionality.  Sorry for the inconvenience.


One way to get the data into another format is to use Microsoft Excel.  Save the landscape report, then unzip the HTML from the saved ZIP.  The reports will be saved as html files which can be opened pretty nicely in Excel
