Hello,
The alert telling that there are too many failed jobs since the CMS startup doesn't make sense.
(Technical Name: aps.Central Management Service Metrics.Failed Jobs)
That's rather a bug of BIPST 2.0, but a wrong definition of the metric,
hence it shouldn't be taken into account or evaluated in another way in the tool.
SAP Note 1772632 - Explanation of Server Monitoring Metrics for SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.0 tells:
METRICS SPECIFIC TO THE CENTRAL MANAGEMENT SERVER (CMS)
Failed Jobs
The number of failed jobs on the CMS since the server started.
But this last part isn't true.
It's the count of all failed jobs in the system, present at the moment.
and NOT the value for the failed jobs since server start.
We have verified this on our system.
Best Regards
Moritz
Hey Moritz,
Thanks for pointing this out. Will fix this right away.
Cheers
Toby
