BOBJ Explorere Error java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unknown SQL type : CHAR(0)

Hello Experts,

I have some HANA views, which I am connecting to BOBJ Explorer. some are working fine but for some, I am getting error "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unknown SQL type : CHAR(0)"

Not sure what it represents . I have checked my HANA view and nothing is CHAR(0).

Hey Both,

• What is you BI 4.x version ? 4.1, SP6
• What is version of HANA ? 1.00.092.00.1422010182

I am connecting BO explorer directly to Hana Calulcation View.,

I faced this issue before, and somehow the resolution was that wherever the data element was NVARCHAR-1, I changed it to NVARCHAR- 2 and then it worked,

But its now working this time.

     Need more information of product version deployed

• What is you BI 4.x version ?
• What is version of HANA ?

Have you tried creating an alternative SQL prompt?

Hi,

Hum....

When do you have this popup ? (while creating IS on your HANA view ?)

As is, I think you have an IS (Information space) created on HANA view that it has some prompt(s).

You should check your Hana view and prompts/'variable filter' created in this Hana view...
