Dear Dev team,
I have two issues:
- First, if I want to select the report in the Change Analysis, the checkboxes looks a little bit strange. (See screenshoot)
- Then point two. When I compare two reports together, an error is written in the tracefile, wich confused me (see trace file). It says that the preferences.xml can not open from the directory C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\BISupportTool. However, I run the tool as a complete different user, and generally there is no user administrator on my client.
And then a quick question, It is still so, that only a comparison between the same system (Time1 und Time2) is possible and not, for example, between D and P system? as described here (https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/x/6pE0Gg)
thank you
Best regards
Alexej
PS: Why it is not allowed to you upload *.glf and *.trc files here? --> "The content type of this attachment is not allowed."
Hey Alexej,
Thanks for reporting the problem.
1. That is unusual with the UI glitch. How often do you see this? What OS is your client running?
2. I think that error is not related to the problem with Change Analysis. But I've created a bug report for this to investigate. Does the comparison work for you? (aside from the UI glitches)
3. Yes, at this time you can only compare between the same CMS cluster. We are looking to improve this in the future.
Can you zip up your C:\Users\USERACCOUNT\AppData\Roaming\BISupportTool\data folder and email it to me? I will replace my data folder with yours and test the Change Analysis.
About the SCN attachments, I think it's just a restriction of the platform itself that everything is zipped up or images.
Cheers
Toby

Hi Toby,
sorry for this delay.Somehow the mail has been sorted out through a filter in my email client
1. Each time. I use the BIST 2.0.2 version, and I've already tried an reinstall. The version of my client OS is Win7 SP1 64Bit.
2. No, the comparison does not work. Each time when i try this, it freezes. And in the trace file you cann see this entry:

By the way can i download the BIST 2.0.3 somewhere? The release notes can be seen in the SCN already.
I'll send the data directory to you by today.
Thanks
Alexej
Hi Alexej
This seems to be a bug in the Eclipse SWT control we are using. I will investigate the problem further.
Can you tell me exactly the version of Windows you are running the BIPST client on?
Also, are you connecting through Windows Terminal Service (mstsc) or some other remote desktop?Does the problem happen on other machines?
Thanks
Toby
Hi Toby,
the version of my client is Win7 Prof SP1 version 6.1 64Bit Build 7601. I do not work on remote desktops. I've just tried it on the client of my colleague and he has the same behavior. In addition I have test it on one of our Win Server (Win Server 21012 R2 version 6.3 64Bit Build 9600) with the same result.
Regdars
Alexej
