How to analyze system for sap data archiving

Hi Experts,

we have a requirement and want to define strategy for FI and SD archiving. But I am not aware from where I can start?. Previously we did archiving of technical data , MM and vender data. Can someone please help me on below queries.

1) What are the major table on which we should focus.
2) Is there any document like PDF, word file is generating through the FI and SD process.
3) how data is generating in FI and SD module .

Or is there any standard archiving analysis process that is recommended by SAP?

Any help is appreciated.

Hello Gupta,

We generally start from largest tables.This approach is better then others because of disk, backup, #of records gain. Not sure about the performance. No quarantee about it.

Take the list and fing Archive objects for all tables.

Then run TAANA for these tables for yearly distribution. Below management guide gives you hints which table can be used for which archive objects.
