BI Platform Support Tool Issue: Report on pending changes for stale servers

Hi

great tool ... but ...

when comparing analysis reports I found that changes that were made to say a WebiProcessingServer after the first report was made were not picked up in the second run.

This is because the server was not running and the changes required a re-start.

Its would be good if the tool picked up these pending changes.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting!  It's an interesting idea to pick up on "pending changes" however, until it is committed to the CMS InfoStore (the server is restarted) it will be difficult to get this information. 

However, we could implement an alert on "stale" servers that would let you know that there are still servers which have configuration changes and require a restart.  Maybe this would be a good compromise?

Hi

I understand why it would be tricky to get the uncommitted config.

But as you say, a flag to at least draw attention would be a good compromise.

This looks like as really useful tool ...
