Hi,
We are working on SSM 10.1.
When we log in system launchpad, it doest go till 96 % and then stops. It takes lot of time and not able access any scorecards.
When i checked the PAS server, it gives error in one of model for DB-142: unexpected I/O sharing Voilation.
We have started or NWA JAWA server and SM listner also, but still the issue remain same. JPIP Restart also run in tools.
Please help, if somebody faced these issue.
Dear Rahul,
Restart JPIP.
Kill Connection in model (via sup kill command)
Delete Lsstcp files from server (TaskManager)
All models will work fine.
Thanks

Hi Rahul,
I have seen this error in the past, and am pretty sure it is related with performing some changes related with I virtual metric in your PAS model. I remember there was a SAP note addressing this, could check for it when I'm back in the office later. Anyway, I suggest to perform a Dump of your PAS model, this should resolve this error.

Hope the issue is already resolved.
I was reffering to note 1596051 - Error "DB-142: unexpected sharing violation during I/O to file <XXX>" in Strategy Management Application Server which you probably already have found on internet addressing this error for SSM 7.5. Following this, the cause of this error is that the Model is being accessed in Exclusive mode.
Post your updates.

Hi Rahul,
Let us know if you performed any activity like support package upgrade, deletion of any PAS user session.
Also set the ActiveX controls and then try to run your scenario--
1. In Internet Explorer browser, choose Tools -> Internet Options .
2. In the Internet Properties dialog box, click the Security tab.
3. Select the correct Web content zone icon, depending on the network
used for the strategy management application at your site.
4. Click the Custom Level button.
5. In the Security Settings dialog box under ActiveX Controls set the
Download ActiveX controls options to either Enable or Prompt.
6. For Entry and Approval, it is recommended that you set Initialize
and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Enable rather than Prompt..
7. Close the browser and then reopen it

Hi Rahul,
Even I had faced the same issue in SSM 10.1 SP09.I used to close the explorer and retry.
Which SP are you using, what's IE version?
Did you link the Roles with its task in user administration?

Ambi
