Error in installation step "start instance"

Dear Experts,

I am installing SAP ERP 607 Sr2 with SAP ASE on SUSE 12 64.

During installation phase i m getting error when Sapinst starting the instance.

Plz check below screenshot.

Hi,

As per screenshot, issue is related to instance DVEBMSG10. Check stderr* log files, that are placed on its work folder, and attach dev_disp to this thread.

Thanks All.

It was Memory Configuration Issue. Due to SYBASE i changed Memory settings in sysctl.conf file from Default SAP note suggested memory settings from SUSE 12. When i reverted the memory parameters to default it works.

Please check /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS<no>/work folder logs.

Helo Qazi,

The database is oracle? Check if the listener and the database are up.

with ora<SID>

to start:

lsnrctl start

sqlplus / as sysdba

startup

Provide us logs also if possible, in the WORK directory and SAPINST directory.

Stop the installation, do the full system restart and then start installation on same phase. still your are find the dame issue update the latest log as attachment

Check the logs files in work directory. check for dev_disp, dev_w0 log files.

Try manually starting the system.
