Hi All,

Can we execute the DB Views Command on Windows 2008 R2 Standard Server. We have a security policy exception where we can access our Production SAP MDM repository database(Oracle 11 G R2)

I have successfully executed the DB Views on Windows 7 Professional to regenerate the views on our DEV MDM repository database.

MDM Version: SAP MDM 7.1 SP09

MDM Production Database version: Oracle 11 G R2

Windows 2008 R2 Standard Server

JDK Version: 1.5

Error message:

MDM DB Views Creator v1.315 beta started.

Logger activated.

Initialize:

Connecting to repository 'MASTER_REPO' on server 'SAP_MDM_SERVER_NAME'...OK.  (250 ms)

        Connecting to database...

MDM DB Views Creator  terminated abnormally. exit(-9999)

>> press <ENTER> to quit...

DBview generation issue is now solved. The issue was with the Oracle client. The MDM API looks for the JDBC JAR files and the oci.dll should be of 32 bit version.

SAP Support Team was of no help as they insisted to upgrade to latest MDM Service Pack level rather than helping us with the issue
