Delete entries from table DBTABLOG on background job.

Hello.

We are trying to delete entries from table DBTABLOG on background job,

but report RSTBPDEL cannot run on background job.(Note1143154)

Someone knows the report which can delete entries from table DBTABLOG

on background job?

SE14 can delete data from your table and runs in background, does it work for you?

Hi,

With this note 1143154 implemented/ with the SP levels mentioned you will be able to run the report in background.

Please check your basis release and SP level.

Reason and Prerequisites

The report RSTBPDEL was not programmed to supported Background job.

Solution

The report has been enhanced to allow batch processing. The User Promts for confirming deletion will be suppressed if the report is scheduled to run in a job.

NOTE: Since user input is not possible in background, the deletion of logs for the scheduled period and table(s) will be done permanently without any prompts.
