How to exclude clients already targeted in another campaign or more, even recurring.

Hello,

we are running marketing processes to send email to customers:

1. create Target group (HV segmentation with BI integration)

2. create marketing campaign with channel "email"

3. send customers to external emailing tool

We have the requirement to exclude from the target group

- clients which are already targeted in another campaign or more

- clients which are already targeted in any other campaign (including recurring campaign)

Do you know if it's possible in CRM to exclude Business partners from target groups if they are already targeted in any other running campaign/target group?

Thank you for your help.

Sonya

Hello,

you can use the deduplication function as mentioned in the sap.help:

Deduplicating Segmentation Elements - Segmentation - SAP Library

This is however working for target groups within the same segmentation model. You therefore need to make sure that all related campaigns are executed for target groups from the same segmentation model.

Cross segmentation model-wise there is no such function existing in standard. What you can do is define a marketing attribute as 'campaign contact' and use the same as a filter to build new TGs. Using that approach contacted accounts won't be used in TGs any more. You have to ensure that the 'campaign contact' attribute is updated whenever a campaign is executed including that account.

I hope this helps.

regards,

Johannes
