sizing search field in masthead of portal 7.5

HI

We are using portal 7.5 and need to edit search field size, and I come to know that 'Theme Editor' has been replaced with 'Theme Designer' and I would like to know the possibility of changing it via theme editor, When I tried I have not found any css which is related to width / height of search field except finding border / font etc .... what are the ways of doing it via theme ?

Can you please attach the screenshot of the complete portal screen, marking the search field which you are referring to.
