Hello Edward/Loed
Actually I need it because I am an accountant "not programmer" and I Simply don't have access to query designer.
so whenever I need simple design "even with very simple formula", I must contact consultant who usually involved in technical side rather than business prospective.
Based on above, I need a lot of time to explain my requirements although it might be solved using very simple excel formula !
I wish if I can add more function to "local formula" for more flexibility in my report design.
Regards
Yasser

Hi,
May I ask why do you need to do the formula in analyzer side? Just do it in query designer direectly as Edward said above..

Loed

Hello Yasser,
This is a local formula of Bex Analyzer.
The purpose is not to be a complex formula. Local formulas are good for simple equations.
But if you want a better place to do your formulas, do it directly on Query Designer.
We have a lot of things there, like logical, trigonometric, Mathematical functions, percentage, ...
Check image for example.
I'm not sure but I believe local formulas is calculated by the client at runtime.
The formulas created on Query Designer are calculated at OLAP level, which is more robust.
Best regards,
Edward S. John
