Hello, Vani,

The Customizing path is

SPRO ->

Customer Relationship Management

  Transactions

    Settings for Service Requests

      Define Settings for Business Context

In this Customizing activity, you can define which object types are included in the business context of a business transaction such as a service request, and what functions are available for each object type. You can also bundle these object types into profiles according to business role and transaction type.

Requirements

  • You have implemented the object link class for a new object in Class Builder (transaction SE24).
  • You have assigned the function profile to business roles in Define Business Role.

Default Settings

As of SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP CRM 7.0, the function profile that is used to assign the object link profile BUSINESS_CONTEXT is delivered with default Customizing in Define Function Profile.

Activities

You define settings for a business context by carrying out the activities in the following Customizing views:

1. Define Object Link Types Define the object types that can be linked to profiles, specifying link type IDs and descriptions.◦Define Object Link Type Details

Specify the object link class and the global data context ID. The object link class defines user interface (UI) functionality, such as Create or Add, specific to a particular object type. It also defines properties displayed on the UI, for example, object ID, object description, and creation date. The global data context ID is used only if you want to create an automatic link between an object type and the business context.

2. Define Object Link Profile Define link profiles corresponding with business transaction types.

Assign Object Link Types

Assign object link types to object link profiles.

3. Define Business Context ProfileDefine link profiles corresponding with business roles.

Assign Object Link Types

Assign object link types to business context profiles.

4. Assign Profiles to Transaction Type

Define transaction types by ID and description, and assign object link profiles to them.

Hope this could help you.

Have a nice day.

Regards,

Webster
