Fixed Term Deposit Instruments giving error "Decrease Exceeds total amount of 0.00"

Hi,

We have recently created some new Fixed Term Deposit Instruments for a company code with configurations done so that the same is not relevant for posting.

For all the new Fixed Term Deposit Instruments created we are not able to enter a Principal Decrease. We receive error message "Decrease exceeds total amount of 0.00" irrespective of whatever value is entered.

Please suggest if there is any configuration missed or maybe wrongly done which is causing the issue?

However the issue is still not resolved since the capital decrease is not being posted on the end date which is the condition mentioned in OSS note.

The capital decrease is being posted before the end date.

Please suggest if there is anything else being missed out.

This does not make sense. Are you using the standard product type 51A?

Please send some additional information like what SAP Version you are using and screen shots of the error message - detail screen.

Also send screen shots of how you are trying to decrease the Principal amount.

Thanks for your reply.

We are not using standard Product type and we have created new one.

We are using SAP ECC 6.0 only.

When we try to increase or decrease the principal while doing rollover we receive error message "Decrease exceeds total amount of 0.00" irrespective of whatever value is entered.

Please find the screen shot of error.
