Project id,wbs Name,network name is not showing in PPB

Dear All,

I am doing a support project,

When i enter into a PPB screen , I can able to see the Project id, Wbs Name Etc.

But when i created a work center and assigned to an activity . i couldnt able to see the discription of the WBS & network in the PPB.

I had done all the checks like , In Project screen all elements are checked in options,In PPB screen all elements are checked in, PPB profile is standard one is renamed as "XX"

I believe that this issue is not with missing customizing.

Kindly help me in this issue.

Hi all,

I was facing same issue in my system on having GUI740. Issue got resolved by upgrading to latest patch 3 .

So any of you facing same issue please upgrade to patch 3 for GUI740  and for GUI730 to patch 11.

SAP recommends atleast Patch 1, please upgrade and check.

Dear All,

Currently i am out of the Problem but i need to fix this issue.

When i open the same project in another Computer .

In same sand box with their user id i can able to see the WBS names.

Now i will cross check will give the feed back to you all soon.

As You all said it might be the Basis Problem.

Well, I replicated your problem, check below screenshot

Then blank lines are the WBS element area.

Now, you can go to below link in SPRO and see if you the color setting is White

SPRO - SAP NetWeaver - Application Server - Frontend Services - Bar chart - Define fields

To select the correct field, you need to compare the Graphic profile assigned to your PPB profile. As per the information you provided, it is SAPPS_PSST00

In the configuration, check the Form PSST00 and Below as per screenshot

Open this form and check the colour

This should be the combination of your back ground color setup in your user setting for the planning board.

This is just an idea on how the system is behaving, but not sure whether this is the actual issue for your case. Seeing all these setup, it looks like the issue is related to graphic profile or font color setup. Try to change the color and play around, you should be able to fix it.

Also, check for other users, whether they are able to see the text, in such case, check the user settings saved in the planning board assistant. That should fix your issue.

In the planning board - Go to Planning Board Assistant - Click Project Definition - WBS element

What is the Font color, it was chosen

As per your suggestion i have done the check on my system

Settings in SPRO is found alright.

In Table TFATT for the form PSST04 is found alright

In Planning Board Assistant / gantt Chart / Proj Def

Same as the case for WBS .

May be this is a silly question, have you tried to save the Planning Board setting in CJ2B and check it by opening again

Hi Mahesh,

Open the project in CJ2B

Go to PPB assistant

Change the color, fox example, change the color from Black to White in Project Definition

Now Save

Open the project to see whether the changes are updated

Have you tried to check with any other user, whether they have the same issue ?

Finally if nothing works, OSS needs to be raised

Please try field "Identification" in the layout . This will display the WBS element number.

But still it is not showing my WBS & activity discription.

is there any ACL or User Validation built for PPB?

Can you check your authorizations as well?

If end user can see all the fields in PPB and you are not looks more of an authorization issue..

In Tcode OPSI there is no validations are maintained on the structure.

Even my LEGEND on the PPB screen is not showing.

Did you check the description field is available on display section, if not bring that field through change layout option on PPB. Hope this should help.

Recently i have seen many posts on the same issue, did you tried by selecting different profile.

Any recent upgrade done in your system ?

Dear Terence,

you are absolutely correct.

As i told, earlier in this thread. Before i touch this system my client can see the PPB with WBS,Activities...Etc.

But when i touch the system for rectifying the scheduling error . I created a work centre and its relevant parameters are added to the activity. then scheduling is working fine in project screen (CJ20N)

Form there i am entering into the PPB then discription of the WBS,activity cant be seen.

All the standard parameters only i am maintaing like PPB profile(SAP std) in Project profile.

As per my analysis this problem is due to gantchart.

Sry for the inconvenience, I am not having the access to configuration changes.

Hi Mahesh,

In such case, check whether the PPB profile used by used by you and client is same.

Try to go into PPB using CJ20N or CJ2B with different profiles.
