SLT instance Homogeneous copy

Hello,

I need to do an homogeneous copy of a SLT intance.

How can I copy/reinstall the data stored in hdbuserstore into hanaclient folder? Could copy the folder into the new instance?

hdbuserstore is used for storing the connection information to connect to the HANA database. It is generally used by the SAP application servers which run on HANA  to connect to the database. Any reasons you have hdbuserstore in SLT?

SLT connects to the HANA database using database connection (DBCO) which requires HANA client. I believe you just need to install the HANA client in the target system after the copy if you are building a new instance.

I agree with Thiru, you will need the hdbuserstore only when yopu have the SAP compoenent or system running on HANA as a database if you SLT is not running on HANA DB you will not have any hdbuserstore for same.

instead you will have to look for DBCO entry consistency with report ADBC_TEST_cONNECTION

make sure after copy you do install the HANA client on SLT system

Then data connection isn't stored in hdbuserstore on hana client of SLT instance, is it?

I need to install only the hana client and test the connection via DBCO.

Yes th3e connection is setup in DBCO, not in hdbuserstore
