Wages section on Operation in Task List/Capturing Employee rates

How is the Wages section used in an operation on a task list? Wage group? Wage type?

What is the best way to capture some employees rate of pay when they perform maintenance in SAP Plant Maintenance?

We are beginning steps to implement SAP PM  and users haven't captured costs in their old legacy systems for any work done.

Hi Tim,

1. If you want to use wage type, then you need to integrate with CATS, CATS profile can be built in such a way to calculate the cost based on wage up and attendance of the employee. You need to have in discussion with HR team.

2. In case if you have fixed rates like For Manager - 100 USD, Supervisor - 90 USD, Engineer - 75 USD etc. You can maintain activity type for each position (Manager / Supervisor / Engineer) and maintain cost in combination with cost center in KP26. This cost centre needs to be used in Work Centre, when you use the Work Centre in the operation, you will can post with respect to the Positions.
