Repeat Main report as page header in Sub report

Hi there,

There is a crystal report which contains one subreport. We have a page break for each Group 2 in subreport and want to repeat the whole main report above each subreport page.

However, then we check Main Report >> Group Expert >> Option >> Options tab >> Check "Repeat Group Header On Each Page". Group Header 1 and 2 are not printed and cannot find the option to repeat Group Footers.. Could anyone please provide some advice?

This is what we are currently printing >> Missing main report on the top of Page 2

This is what we want to print..

Main Report

Subreport

Thank you in advance

Chrissa

Hi Chrissa,

Unlike Group Headers, Group Footers cannot be repeated.

To repeat the section you've marked as the Main Report, here's what you need to do:

1) Delete the Subreport from Group Footer 1b and save this as a separate report.

2) Open the original report (the report that has the subreport on the footer). Insert the report you saved in Step 1 as a Subreport.

Place this Subreport on Group Header 1 and suppress all other sections except Group Footer that holds the subreport.

Turn on 'Repeat Group Header on each page' for Group 1.

Hi Abhilash,

Thank you for your advice. I tried your solution and the subreport part is repeating. However, we want to print Group Footer #2a and Group Footer #1a above the subreport, so printing order became different than our expectations..

Both Group Footer 2a and Group Footer 1a should be inside the subreport that is placed on Group Header 1.

So, it should print above the Summary subreport that is on Group Footer 1b.

We call different stored procedures between Main report and Subreport. Since those stored procedures have complicated long scripts, we want to fix this issue in only Crystal Report.
