Need to make a field mandatory in travel Expense Entry

Dear Experts,

We are using portal version 7.0. our client want to make a field mandatory in travel expense entry. PFB Screenshot. The Short Info field need to be mandatory. Please guide how can we achieve it.

that is : sap.com/ess~tra~tre/Expenses

please let us know possible ways to make that field mandatory.

It is very urgent requirement from customer.

There is no standard way unfortunately, you can try from portal customisation or modifying the java code !

Kindly check in the table V_t706B1_B whether short info field is there or not, you should be able to make it required from this table..

I checked the table V_t706B1_B but there is no Short info field field in this table. If we made that field as required in R/3, does it works in portal as well?

Thanks for the information. I gone through the link you provided and in the t code FITVFELD_WEB , I got the field "Short Description" but not able to make it mandatory.

Please guide as it very urgent.
