HANA Studio: Unable to attach a BW system in modeling tools

Hi,

I have installed BW modeling tools in HANA Studio. Now when I try to add a new project under BW Modeling section, I can see all available BW systems in my landscape, but when I try to select required BW system, its not getting selected and cant create the project.

am I missing any config settings. I have check few notes like 2054930 but its not helping.

steps: HANA Studio-> BW Modeling perspective-> Project Explorer-> R.C create new project-> it will list all available BW systems, but I couldn't select any one of them.

Pls find the screen shot which shows the problem.

Hi  Vishnu.

you should be able to add the system manually using context menu of BW modeler( add new connection or define connection).

Please have BW system id, instance number handy.

in case still not working, update you Hana studio with latest version.

are you using "Select connection from SAP Logon" Option?

Have you tried "Define Manually"?

We are in BW 7.5 and modeling tools 1.8.9 version with HANA studio SP08.

Not sure where can I get the 'Select connection from SAP Logon' Option.

I cant proceed further with define manually option too.

from the below screen, its not moving further if I click on new system connection or if I select any of the listed bw systems. Next option is not getting enabled.

I am using BW Modeling Tools add-on in Eclipse Luna.

I am getting Options -

1. Select connection from SAP Logon

Select Connection from Logon will display all the systems which are added in SAP GUI Logon screen.

2. Define Manually.

   We can configure with BW System using Host ID, Instance.

Can you please try with latest BW Modeling Tools add-ons with Eclipse.

Just check if you have logged in into the system or not. Also the screenshot is missing, attach it for details.
