Maintenance revisions

Hi Experts,

I would like to know about Maintenance Revision. So please explain maintenance revision with real time scenario & a step by step business process which involve maintenance revision.

Practical use:

After creating a Revision (8char label) through tcode OIOB which has StDt/EnDt and Times, you can assign the same to multiple Notifications or Orders in mass. This facilitates you to search such Notifications and Orders by Revision label. Means when you want to plan few jobs on a particular Date then Create a Revision and assign that Revision to all such Notifications and/or Orders.

How you assign a Revision to several Notifications in mass.

In IW28 list output , select Notification lines you want to assign a Revision and go to menu  Notification > Assign Revision  and do it.

Similarly in IW38 you can do it for Orders

Order > Revision > Assign Revision

After doing so you can list such Notifications and Orders by giving the Revision label in the respective (IW28 or IW38) Selection screens.

After finishing such jobs, you can mark this Revision as Revision completed in OIOB.
