Web Dynpro Develop App

Hello experts,

I'm a new in developing apps in Web dynpro. I'm trying to create an app like the Fiori. But I don't know if these is possible.

I'm trying to find examples but I don't see anything online for my case. 

My doubts are :

If is possible construct an app similiar a Fiori

If Web Dynpro works with Sap Gateway.

Well, Not possible i guess as SAP Gateway services are REST based which aren't supported in Webdynpro. Why would we be doing that in first place. Webdynpro is good for browser based applications connecting directly to SAP system in form of Web service and doesn't support mobility.

I think, the choice remains to go for SAP NW based service + front end(ui5/.net/ruby on rails etc) or Webdynpro based application design.
