Planning strategy

Hi,

We use pure MTO strategy where stock is separately assigned to a sales order which we is obviously called as special stock.

But we required that during MRP run if we receive new requirement of pure MTO for the same product,  then system should consider previously assigned pure MTO special stock and accordingly give the results.

For example if my pure MTO stock for product A is 100 and stock is zero and another requirement of 200 nos order received for Product A as pure MTO then system should consider the previous stock of 100 and give the planned order of 100 only.

Note  : We don't want strategy 40 as this release the product from special stock and we want to identify the stock through special stock consignment to particular customer.

Hello

Are you talking about the stock of a component or the stock for the finished product?

If you are talking about the component stock, you can control if it will be under the sales order special stock using the field "individual/collective" on the material master.

If you are talking about the finished product, a "pure MTO" strategy will plan requirements of different orders under different special stocks, so it is not possible to consider the existing stock for a new requirement.

Hi,

I am talking about finished Goods stock. In pure MTO system should consider the available stock and keep in special stock against the customer order.

Sun,

As already mentioned by expert Caetano, standard SAP PP MTO will only consider supply elements within the MTO segment (sales order/item).  Any change to this behavior would require an enhancement.
