Issue from GUI_DOWNLOAD

Hi Team ,

     I have developed one downloading report from CRM. To Download report here facing two issue, First customer is  asking to download CSV format.

if i give saving extension .csv, files is downloading but when i open it, alignment is not coming properly.

second on is, If i give XLS or .XLSX format downloading successfully but serial number field is coming like 1.23456E+17 instead of 123455667778888000.

i know if i change field as char mode in excel working but customer expecting when downloading itself dont want to manual process.

Anyone please suggest me.

Hi Thangam,

those sound more like excel issues than CRM issues.

The first could be anything really. Double check the format of your downloaded files for inconsitencies, make sure excel is up to date, etc.

Second issue, if you export your number fields with a leading single quote, excel will treat them as characters instead of numbers:

'109328450923

instead of

109328450923

                         Thanks for your reply. actually i know that and looking to last option .Here my question is  when we downloading ALV report via Spreadsheet coming as per internal table then why it is not coming When using GUI_DOWNLOAD.
