Error while creating Gauge in MII 15.0 - SSCE

Hello Community,

i have trouble creating a Gauge in MII 15.0 SP6 Patch 2.

It doesn't mather if i create the object in the workbench or in SSCE with PCoQuery data.

I always get this error:

Other visualisations are working...

Did anyone ever get a error with creating a gauge or has any idea what the problem might be?

Thanks

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

Which browser are you using ?Also which version?

Does this happen everytime for you ?

Also what value columns are your mapping to gauge .

Thanks ,

Hi Neha,

i'm using Firefoy 38.5.0.

It happens within the ssce and the workbench. Other diagramms work fine.

I wanted to display a pressure or a temperature.

I will forward this to SAP Basis so that they can update th MII Version. That might be a solution.

I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who has problems with creating a gauge.

Thanks Stefan

Hi Stefan,

With MII 15.0 SP7 P01, Gauge chart works fine.

Could you please check the SAP UI5 version in the browser console while rendering the chart by typing the following in the console:

sap.ui.version

Looks like SAP UI5 version issue, but lets see..

Thanks and Best Regards,

Ria

Thanks for your reply.

Hope i did it right:

I aksed the basis a few days ago to update the MII15.0 version to the newest SP and patch. That might help, or what dou you think?

Thanks

Hi Stefan,

The SAP UI5 version should be the one appropriate for the NW version on which MII is running. Upgrade to the latest SP of MII is well a good option, but also do ensure that the SAP UI5 version is also appropriate.

Hi Ria,

i updated MII to 15.0 SP7 Patch1, but still the same problem....

Could the UI5 version 1.22.2 be a problem or do you have any other ideas?

Thanks and best regards,

Stefan

So in the end it was a UI5 issue.

UI5 has been updated to 1.26.16 and now the Gauge works fine.

Thanks again for the great help

Hi Stefan,

I tried with version 1.22.10 and I get a javascript error on executing Gauge chart (however the error is different from the one that you are getting).

With SAP UI5 1.24.6 I'm able to get gauge chart working, however in the Template category Title I had to uncheck Show Title.

Hence I think you could get the SAP UI5 version on your server upgraded to version higher than 1.24.x and try. The ideal version of SAP UI5 recommended is the version appropriate for your SAP NW AS Java server version.

Hi Stefan,

1.22.2 UI5 version is quite older with lots of methods deprecated. I faced same issue with 1.28 and MII 15.0 Patch 6.

However, for one of my clients demo I was working on 15.1 and it worked well. I guess with patch update you should see if you can move to UI5 1.33, or the most recent lib if this is not the one.

Good luck

Thanks,

Thanks Ria,

is it possible to just update the UI5 version within the MII version?

Is there a document that shows me how the UI5 version can be updated?

Thanks and best regards

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

The latest UI5 version could be downloaded from SAP SMP, the name of the sca file would be something like UISAPUI5JAVAx_x.SCA.

You could then get this installed on NW AS Java on which MII gets deployed by the SAP Basis team.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Ria

SMP == Service Market Place? or SAP Mobile Platform?

Hard to imagine, but I think we are running out of unique TLAs!  Oh me oh my, whatever shall we do?!?!?

TLA== Three Letter Acronyms!
