Unknown Database Connector Error CR 2008 SP3

Hello All,

I am facing an issue with CR 2008 while trying to access already created connections. when i try to click or open connection in database expert, i am getting an error  "Unknown Database Connector Error". It was working well till last week.

Details:

windows 7

CR 2008 SP3

Connection created using Oracle server option.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does any connection to Oracle work from that PC? Using Toad or SQLPlus...

CR is a 32 bit application so it requires the 32 bit client to be installed.

Thanks for your reply.Yes we are able to connect with SQL Developer.It was working all well before one week.Noe we are not able to access any connection and immediately we have this error message.

Sounds like a MS update broke permissions on something.

Or possibly your AV software is blocking access, try re-installing the client. Could be the PATH statement was modified maybe...

Look in your logs to see if it's being denied access.

Another quick test is open CR Designer and don't open a report, click on File, Log on... and see if that works.
