increase timeout limit?

Hi everybody,

we're using BPC 10 (MS) and I'm quite often receiving complaints from users, who say that they cannot save or refresh data after some time in BPC and get a strange error message. The standard solution for that is to log off and log on again, so for me that looks like a timeout. The obvious solution would be to increase the time out limit, but I honestly have no idea how and where to do that. So has anybody got an idea on that, how to increase timeout limit? Or what other issue could cause this problem?

Thanks und regards, Philipp

Hi Philipp,

This can actually be several things so we would need more details.

1. What SP for BPC are you on?
2. What SP for EPM addin?
3. What version of Office and is it 32/64 BIT?

4. Are the users going through citrix or connecting directly from their machine?

What is the exact error message you can take a screen print and attach it please.

Thanks

April

3. Office is 32 BIT

4. Directly from local machine

This is the screenshot from the error msg:

As it is in german, let me try a translation:

Hi Philipp,

have you seen the Sap notes about "wrong authentication"? There are a couple about your version 2030555 and 2096616, apply the settings and see if they solve the issue.
