SAP version R3 4.6C

We would like to inquire if its possible to upgrade the following:

1. Operating system of SAP version R3 4.6C, windows 2000 Server to

Windows 2003.

2. Database version from SQL (7) to SQL 2003

Hi James,

As per PAM, you need to go for MS SQL 2005. 2003 is not supported.

Rest looks fine.

Hi James,

End of extended maintenance for R/3 4.6c was 3/31/2013. . Also the OS/DB versions you mentioned are out of support from MS.

In case you are running under customer specific maintenance you can refer to the PAM link for the application compatibility with the target OS/DB version

Since you are planning to just upgrade the OS/DB and not the application, it will be Homogeneous Migration. You can use the installation media (R3load) to do export/import of you DB from source to target if you have the media handy or else it will be tough to get it from the Market place archive.
