Hi

Sap Business client error is: "You are calling this web site with a browser that is not supported" on the login screen when opening the system:

Version is: SAP Business Client 6.0 PL 0.  Windows 7, IE version 11.

When opening the link in the browser, (https://196.5.1.4:8443/nwbc/) opens up with no errors in IE, but in chrome the same error is displayed.

Seems like the client is defaulting to chrome?  As per SAP note 2227396 it is supposed to default to IE.

Any advise please?

Best regards.

Hello

here is the related part of the note, please have a look on it

Browser not supported error:
" You are calling this web site with a browser that is not supported "

  • update your Unified Rendering by following this article:
  • If issue still persists:
Check in the Product Availability Matrix
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/pam
if the browser in use is supported with your Basis Release
    • --> Display All Product Versions --> search for basis version --> display Technical Release Information --> Web Browser Platforms
    • your browser is in that list: open a ticket BC-WD-UR

Best regards.

Hi

Thanks, appreciated the detailed response.

The system is currently on "EHP2 FOR SAP ERP 6.0". As per the PAM link, IE8 is supported.  I have tested this on a PC with IE8, and the login screen opens without the error, but then when I enter username and password it returns to the login screen without any errors - strange.

To update the Unified Rendering, we will have to update SAP_BASIS component from SAPKB70209 to SAPKB70215. So we have rather recommended a EHP upgrade to EHP7.
