BODI ERROR 1111340

Dear All ,

I have installed Data services -> Business Objects XI 3.2

When I launch Data services designer I get this error :

BODI ERROR 1111340

ORA 01017

The database is Oracle 10g

I use windows 8.

I have attached the screenshot of the error.

USERNAME AND PASSWORD NOT VALID , CONNECTION REFUSED.

Thanks in advance.

The same data services client in another windows 8 works properly.

We do not get the interface for username and password. We do not get the login interface for data services designer

BODI ERROR 1111340 is shown before and we can not continue.

You are getting ORA-1017, first. The 1111340 error just means that there's a db error.

Yes something conected with the Oracle client but we do not have any idea.

Why it works in a windows 8 and it does not work in another windows 8.

Do you thing is something related to ORACLE_HOME  or the %PATH% environment ?

Check if you have more than one Oracle Client installed on the Windows 8 machine where you are not able to log in to Designer

Try to debug your problem with SQL*Plus. It could be Oracle_Home, or the TNSNAMES.ORA file. Hard to tell from a distance.

Once you manage to connect from the standard client, make sure you use exactly the same environment settings when running DS Designer.
