Custom Long text from Staging to Active area

Dear All,

I have a requirement to add a custom long Text for Custom Text ID for MDG-M, The screen look Similar as to Standard (BSCDATTXT, PURCHTXT, QINSPTXT).

To fulfill This I have created a Custom Entity at data model level MDG-M

. Generate Model specif structure

. Done SMT Mapping

. Created a Composite UIBB and Linked with Standard UIBB.

. Create a wire for this

by doing my custom long text UIBB is visible as extra tab on MDG-M screen. I am able to add Long text for my custom Text id .

But this long text on final approval is not moved from Staging to active area.

Please let me know do I need to enhance Access class for this Or I need to Create new access class add to data model for that custom entity.

If any one has worked on this please let me know how to move data from staging to active area from custom long text.

Hi, MDG-M reuse area only supports the text types already pre-delivered  (TDIDs for Basic Text, Internal Comment, MRP note, ...). Even the low-level function module MATERIAL_MAINTAIN_DARK only supports these.

So most likely, the long text you want to define will anyway not reflect in MM01, IDocs, ..., why not use a flex entity? Zero effort in the backend, and in MDG-M you can make it behave exactly like any of the long text entities.

Thanks for your response.

If I will create entity on Flex mode my data will not be available on Back end ECC system. But I want my long text to be stored on ECC table (Based on Custom Text Id- STXH table).

By this I can avail that custom long text on MM01-03 Transaction code. Is it possible to create custom access class for our custom entity and Implement the code accordingly and attached that at data model entity level.

One more this Just for my understanding: MM data model is basically Reuse Mode Data model. Can we create the flex entity on reuse data model..Please let me know.

Hi, not sure how you can see custom TextIDs in MM01..3.

As stated above, the low-level function module only supports the shipped long texts, so I don't see any solution without modification.

Hi,

I try to debug a lot but still its blurred for me not able to any find any BADI or enhancement Point Provides by SAP to write our Custom logic.  If you aware for any SAP notes for custom long text please let me know. Even I will raise this queries in SAP Market place
