CR 2013 not seeing Oracle client

Former Member

We have 32-bit Windows 7 PCs with Oracle 11g Administrator installations. Oracle was installed prior to CR installation and is working with all our other applications. CR doesn't seem to see Oracle. SQL and other database options are available, but no Oracle. Thanks in advance!

If Oracle is not an option it means CR can't find the client. Make sure Oracles \bin folder is in the PATH statement.

Must also be the 32 bit client because CR is a 32 bit application.

Thanks! We'll be trying that today or tomorrow hopefully.

Sorry for the delayed response, we've tried this and our installation can't see Oracle and possibly other clients. On the about screen, the product shows 2013 Standard, which in previous versions didn't have this connectivity. Ours is an upgrade from XI Standard. We have several other Oracle applications on the computers and the client is working in those.

Hi Mike,

Search for crdb_oracle.dll, should be in one of our folders. If it's not there then go to COntrol Panel, Programs and Features and change CR install. Expand the Database drivers and make sure Oracle, ODBC and OLE DB are checked on and apply if they are not.

Then open a CMD window and type PATH, do you see the Oracle clients \bin folder listed?
