<SID>adm account locked

I'm currently locked out of the system due to 6 failed logins. Does the system unlocks itself after certain time? Is there a way to reset the account? I'll like to keep the same password if possible. Thanks

Hi,

As stated by amerjit a server administrator needs to assist here.

If it is windows is it a local server account or domain user?

If it is linux/unix then the root user can unlock the account and reset the password

Hello Christopher,

You should specify what operating system you are talking about.

1. Operating systems will not unlock your user after a certain time.

2. You have to ask the system admin to unlock your account

3. You can keep your password as long as you advise the sys admin that this is what you want.
