Session management with ITS MOBILE

Greetings,

when we use to run SAPCONSOLE we had session controller between the handheld device and SAP

this was great because you could resume transactions and if you lost wifi signal, i didnt mean you lost the entire order you were picking.

now we are on ITSMOBILE using a windows 10 tablet device, we dont seem to have this functionality.

if you begin an order pick, and walk away or go to lunch for over 30mins and return, you lose the entire transaction.

since our battery life is not great on the tablets we have to put the devices to sleep earlier to preserve battery life.

besides perhaps not putting the devices to sleep, is there any other options in ITSMOBILE to have the same controls like we had with our controller?

Hello Tom,

what timeout settings are you using for the ITSMobile services?

If the devices are not losing the remote wifi connection - this might be a solution.

If the device loses the wifi connection - then only solution is to start a NEW browser session. Would recommend setting the parameter in SICF for the ITSMobile service: multiple logon check

If searching for notes, all ITSMobile notes begin with the short text "ITSMobile:"

Useful notes:

1074234 ITSmobile, check for multiple logon

1048461 ITSmobile, system login for mobile services

1980475 ITSMobile - Configuration settings regarding Logon and Logoff

Hi Tom,

Which timeout value is set?

Is this the value set in SICF or is it the ICM timeout value?

If your value is 60 minutes then if the connection is not dropping the ITSMobile session

should stay alive during long periods of inactivity provided that the connection does not drop

during this period.

Oisin
