HI,

I need some suggestions.

My Requirement is i would like to send a mail after creating the material master in sap.

I am able to send the mail after creating.

The mail is having two sections Body and subject.

In subject i would like  to mention some system fields like time and user name.

Please have a look on below attached images.

In workflow i was mentioned &syst-uname& , In mail subject is coming as Material Code. I did not mentioned the Material Code as subject.

If i mention like New material was created : &syst-uname&,In subject Up to Text is coming But system field is not coming.

May i know why. In body section is coming correctly.

Check the Work flow Log , Parameters Holding the data that your expecting to display.

Below Container elements will have the values your looking for

_Workitem.CreatedByAddress.Name for name

_WFLOWITEM

Krishna

_Workitem.CreatedByAddress.Name for name

Yes, Name is exists in the container , i can able to see.

This is my mail subject .

Fetching Data from Material master &SYST-DATUM&

But it is not capturing, means not coming into the mail subject.

Hi ,

Create an Custom container element TYPE C and assign the date you wanted to display in the Subject line in any of Custom back ground task prior to this step. Use the custom Container element in your subject line.

Krishna

"But in Workflow Why subject line not appearing"

What do you mean? Your screenshot shows the subject line with the date showing.

I picked it from Bo method system date.

Dear sir, Can you please see the post from the First on words,

As per the Expert suggestions I did from Bo method.

Hope this is very bad method, means already existing system fields are there, why

i need to pick from Data base. this is my question.

Requesting for valuable suggestions.Correct me anything is wrong from my side.

May be i did wrong, i believe but What i did , I doesn't know.

I have no idea what you're asking.

The subject line shows whatever is in CDATE. Just put the value you want in CDATE.

I fetched the Data of Date into  Cdate in Bo method. Then i transfer to the container field.

HI, Sir, Thanks for your reply.

First have you understood What's my problem, Result i am getting,

but Why should i choose.

No, I don't understand your problem because either you can't state it clearly or I lack reading comprehension.

You want a date to show up in your subject header. Currently it successfully shows the contents of CDATE.

Solution 1: replace CDATE with the container element holding the value you want

Solution 2: keep using CDATE but first copy the value you want into it

SYST-DATUM is not a container element.

Container Element means Should i create a Element With some data type.

If you say yes, how should i get the Date into container Element, Should i captured from bo method or some other method

Every container has a 'System Fields' folder, which contains a 'Current Date' value. You can use that.

It will be represented by the expression %DATUM% in your subject text.

good luck

Paul
