New InfoSteward file Connection Creation Error

Hi Experts,

We are unable to create file connection for information steward in CMC.

Could you please help on this topic(there is no spaces in path)

The versions are below:

SAP Business Objects BI Platform 4.2 Support Pack 2 Patch 0
Version: 14.2.2.1975

SAP Data Services 4.2 SP07
Version: 14.2.7.1129

SAP Information Steward 4.2 SP07
Version: 14.2.7.1129

Repository Database:
SAP HANA Revision 112.02

Web Application Server:
Apache Tomcat/8.0.21

Browser:

Internet Explorer version 10.0.9200.17609

Hi Sravan,

Is the file on the server or on a shared directory. Try it on the server direct that IS is installed on.

You can't really tell with your attachment.

Thanks for your reply.

We are using shared directory for file location and tried with server(IS is installed on).

And re-started EIMAdaptiveProcessingServer and SIA but no luck.

Again we are facing the same issue. Couple of week back we are facing the same issue, that time we  re-started EIM and SIM, then it's working fine.

I am not sure, why the issue appeared again, we checked all possibilities to resolve the issue. I feel this error is not related to shared location access, this is happening while either creating a new File\DB connection.

Could you please advice on this?

We re-started the IS application server, then issue got resolved.

Sounds like a communication problem. Are you on a clustered system?
